Bladder Infections Can Be Treated Naturally

Most women experience at least one bladder infection in their lifetime. These infections are far from being fun, often causing days off from work and school. Urgency, pain with urination, urinary incontinence, sometimes accompanied by fever, chills and fatigue can put anyone down for few days. Bladder infections can turn into kidney infections quickly for some women, so it is important to treat them quickly and effectively. Diagnosis is made by symptoms along with urine test and urine culture that may take up to 10 days for results to return.

Many women also suffer from asymptomatic bladder infections, meaning that they do not even realize they are fighting an infection; as they feel tired and fluish most of the days. The conventional treatment involves antibiotic therapy. However, many of the urinary tract bacteria are becoming more resistant to the typical antibiotics. As a result, often, antibiotic prescriptions must be changed.

Antibiotics Disrupt DNA of Both Good & Bad Bacteria and of Human Cells

Antibiotics disturb the DNA of the good and bad bacteria and sometimes the DNA of the human host, setting a person up for immune weakness, disrupted beneficial flora, and ultimately bladder infection recurrence. The best way to fight any bladder infection is to get the body to fight back, get the immune system to send its army to help the body eliminate the by-products of the dead bacteria. This way, not only is the patient’s DNA protected but the immune system is activated reducing recurrence of the infections.

Most women know that when they feel the initial symptoms of a bladder infection, they must practice hygiene, wear loose cotton underwear, drink lots of water, plus unsweetened cranberry and pomegranate juice, and rest. Often, though these home treatments are not enough. I help my patients fight these often-persistent bladder infections with the following natural treatments that are often very effective.

Remember to Treat Underlying Root Causes of Infections

Always, remember though that treating the underlying root cause(s) of infection is most important. For instance, why were you susceptible to picking up the infection? Was there an emotional stressor, relationship issue, immune dysfunction, heavy metal toxicity, food allergy or sensitivity, an untreated scar or dental infection, etc.?

Without the diagnosis and treatment of the underlying issues, the infections may recur. The emotion related to bladder and kidney infections is fear. Therefore, fear must be addressed and replaced by love. One of my favorite quotes I think of when I find myself in a state of fear is: “Love is a light that never dwelleth in a heart possessed by fear.” (Baha’u’llah, The Four Valleys, p. 58)

My Top Three Most Effective Natural Treatments

  1. Akutur homeopathic drainage drops is a remedy from Europe with multiple homeopathic remedies mixed together. It is probably the most single effective treatment for bladder infections I have come across. Often, this remedy must be taken with other drainage remedies for detoxification of liver, kidneys and metals. Proper dosage and prescription from your naturopathic physician is a must for this remedy to be effective.
  2. Argentyn-23 (Hydrosol Nanoparticle Silver) is water-based silver particles of extraordinarily small size and without the proteins and salts found in colloidal silver. It is more powerful at smaller doses than any other silver compound because of its large surface to volume ratio. Historically, silver has been used as an anti-microbial for centuries. It is relatively safe and effective. It modulates the immune system as the cell-wall of infections is disrupted and killed.
  3. Single homeopathic remedies depend on your constitution and general mental, physical, and emotional picture. Single homeopathic remedies when prescribed properly after the ‘obstacle to cure’ has been removed, can be extraordinarily effective. Some of the more common homeopathic remedies for bladder infections include: Aconite, Cantharis, Causticum, Nux Vomica, Pulsatilla, Staphysagria, and Sarsparilla.

Neural Therapy for Pain & Healing from Bladder Infections

I know I said I would only list top three remedies, but I cannot forget neural therapy for pain and healing. A superficial injection technique developed by German physicians in the early 1900’s, using low-dose lidocaine or procaine effectively and powerfully resets the autonomic nervous system, modulates the immune system, reduces nerve irritation and pain, and opens up channels of drainage to release debris from infections and toxins. For kidney and bladder infections, 1-3 treatments may be necessary.

I have successfully treated numerous bladder and kidney infections without antibiotics. If you are fighting these infections repeatedly, it is time to seek help, correct the underlying imbalances, and address the underlying root of the problem to treat the infections successfully–without antibiotics.
